Here’s CSR’s Senior Management Team:

Julie Brown

Julie Brown

Julie Brown, President

Known to her clients as a “live wire,” and with over 20 years of experience designing, managing, and delivering industrial, customer, and product research to clients in a wide range of industries, Julie is at all times determined to meet her clients’ needs.

Prior to joining CSR, Julie served as a consultant in the areas of strategic planning, marketing planning, and communications strategy for Watson/Wyatt and George Beram & Co., where she conducted and used a considerable amount of qualitative and quantitative research.

She also worked at Price Waterhouse for eight years, where she became a Certified Public Accountant (need help with your taxes?) before joining the Marketing Services team. Earlier in her career, Julie worked as a loan officer at two Boston-based banks, BayBank and Shawmut Bank.

Julie received a BA from Mount Holyoke College and an MBA from Babson College. She has studied multiple languages, is known by her colleagues as “The Grammar Queen,” loves flamingos and all things “Key West,” and is a connoisseur of fine food and microbrews.

Mark Palmerino

Mark Palmerino

Mark Palmerino, Executive Vice President and Research Director

As adept at the Socratic method as Socrates himself, Mark is a natural-born consultant who often gets surprising results by fearlessly asking the question everyone thinks they know the answer to.

Mark created CSR’s innovative research methodology that spans the qualitative/quantitative spectrum and results in a deeper understanding of the needs and motivations of high value audiences.

In addition, he has over twenty-five years of experience in design and analysis of research data, as well as experience with designing and executing a broad array of research methodologies.

Mark received a BA from the University of Maryland and a Ph.D. in social psychology from Harvard University (need some psychological help with your research project?). He is a certificated pilot, a connoisseur of fine wine (noticing a trend?), and an avid gardener and griller.

Jennifer Lacy

Jennifer Lacy

Jennifer Lacy, SVP, Operations

Jennifer is a big-picture thinker who is hell-bent on getting the job done for her clients; one lovingly called her the “Valkyrie of Market Research.” Having worked on the client-side of the business, she understands how important it is to work with partners who are insightful and reliable (and at times, fierce).

She has over 20 years of experience in the wonderful world of market research. She’s been an executive interviewer, focus group moderator, coder, project manager, client services director, and report writer extraordinaire.

Prior to joining CSR, Jennifer headed up the custom research team for The New York Times advertising department. She has also held senior-level research positions at a handful of major market research firms.

Jennifer received a BA from Rutgers University and is ABD in a PhD in political theory from Boston College. She is an avid meditation and yoga practitioner, teaches a class in Mindfulness for Children, is a Shakespeare-ophile, and a huge professional tennis fan.

Marissa Glowac

Marissa Glowac

Marissa Glowac, Senior Research Manager

In an industry full of people who pride themselves on knowing the facts, Marissa stands out to her clients and colleagues as impressive in her attention to detail. She has been a market researcher for more than ten years, and currently is lead manager on many of CSR’s most complex and high-profile studies.

Prior to joining CSR she served as a Project Manager with The Environmental Careers Organization, a Research Manager with Reed Business, and a Mutual Fund Accountant at State Street Bank. Marissa published an article on Boston Harbor Beach clean-up efforts in the New England Journal of Public Policy.

Continuing the beach theme in her life, Marissa lives within walking distance of the Massachusetts shoreline. She serves as a soccer coach, a Girl Scout Troop Leader (need to start a bonfire?), is a committed “spinner,” and will always say “yes” to a strong cup of coffee. Marissa holds a B.A. in Economics from Colby College and an M.S. of Science in Public Affairs from the University of Massachusetts.
